About Us Laven Associates began providing landscape development and management services in 1962. Prior to 1962, Laven Associates founder, Peter Laven, along with John Northwood and Mackin Hancock founded and operated Lakeshore Landscape Contractors for several years. Keith Laven, president, has been managing the company since 1975. Laven Associates has the qualified labour force, many of whom have more than 10 years with us alone. We have the experience to produce exceptional landscape developments. We are founding members of the Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association and our staff are certified, educated, and experienced in civil, agriculture and construction technology. In addition to private, corporate and institutional projects, we have worked with various school boards and many municipalities including Toronto, Vaughan, Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, Richmond Hill, Markham, Georgetown and Kitchener-Waterloo. Our services include all aspects of hard and soft landscaping as well as site preparation and servicing and related structures. Over the years, we have worked on some of the most prestigious projects in the GTA region and have won numerous awards for construction as well as design and build projects. From the beginning, we have been known as innovators and leaders in landscape construction. Along with many Landscape Ontario awards of excellence for construction, design build and maintenance, Laven Associates was the winner of the prestigious Howard Dunnington-Grubb award in 1983.
